Don't even know where to start. We'll let's start with the cleanliness of the establishment apon entering! Then you have the well mannered employees that work in there. Oh can't forget about the Boss Lady and beautiful kids who are always there also. There's so much to choose from, for which everything is good in my opinion. Everything is prepared with LOVE. One of my favorite dishes is the Oaxtail with Rice & Peas. Not to brag but I think I've probably ordered some of everything off of their menu lol. This place is literally a one stop shop. If you like to eat clean and cook clean, this is the place for you. They even sale herbs, spices and plenty of other things from Jamaica food related. Love this place. ~ Mike

FINALLY!!! I've lived in the valley for 8 years now and was very necessary! The market is nice, the employees are friendly and the food is phenomenal! They actually serve breakfast (and at breakfast time!) I'm so sick of waiting until 11am on the weekends to get Ackee and Saltfish. The employees at Di Mart had breakfast ready at 9 and I didn't have to specify that I wanted ground provisions before ordering which is something I never had to do in Miami. I was able to get groceries and spices while I waited and stocked up on all of my favorites. Portions could be better (the large ackee was very small) but I'm willing to forgive because it was so good. Di Mart will soon get tired of seeing me there! ~ Nikki N

I am so thrilled to have found Di Mart in Canoga Park. It is nice to have a Caribbean store right here in the Valley that represents the full Caribbean, as I no longer have to drive to Gardena. The store is exceptionally clean and well-organized. I came in looking for a hot sauce specifically from Belize and was able to find it at the best price; her price is even better than Walmart. The woman there, who I believe is the owner, was incredibly sweet and accommodating. She even asked about other items I usually buy elsewhere so she could start stocking them for me. Since they also serve food like a restaurant, she offered me a menu, and everything looks excellent. My husband and I will definitely be back. ~ Heather N

We just had take out from Di Mart and it was AMAZING! I am from Florida and have had lots of great Jamaican food and this is the best I’ve ever had! All the way over here in California!! We got the oxtail, curry goat and jerk chicken and everything from the meats to the peas and rice to even the cabbage was amazing. The oxtail and curry goat was so flavorful and incredibly tender and the jerk chicken had such a good smoky flavor, it was some of the best chicken we’ve had period! The inside is all nice and new and clean, the service is friendly, and the parking is easy. Absolutely no complaints - we will be back often! ~ Michael

I come here for all my jerk sauces and now they also have a kitchen with amazing food. My favorite is rice and peas plantain jerk, chicken stew, chicken, curry, shrimp, and chicken. The festival is so flavorful. The cabbage is so delicious. I really enjoy this place. it’s real authentic Jamaican food. I’m a LA girl and I normally will go to Inglewood for my Jamaican food but now I no longer have to go to Inglewood because we have amazing Jamaican food in the valley the lunch special. It’s a deal. Went here for lunch with my Friend and we really enjoyed our experience here. I ordered the Curry Chicken and my Friend ordered the Oxtail. Both dishes were delicious. Large portions. Staff were friendly. Place was clean. Had nice music playing in the background. We sat inside, but there is also seating outdoors. Parking was easy to find. My Friend also was able to buy some of her Caribbean Ingredients at the store. Just really happy to have Jamaican food in the Valley instead of driving all the way into the city to get some. This is my absolute favorite place to enjoy authentic Jamaican food as well as shop for my favorite items to cook. The food is absolutely hands down the best in the city never tasted food better. The place itself is extremely clean and well put together and the employees are extremely nice and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the portion size is nothing but love. Di Mart is the place to be!!! Especially if you’re visiting, it’s not always easy to find places that provides you with options for Caribbean food/seasoning needs! & they have everything you need and MORE!!! They also cook fresh Caribbean food that is so delicious, you’ll be sure to be back I live in NYC and that’s a place that’s accessible to get a variety of food options, but I know for sure when I visit LA, I can count on Di Mart to fulfill my foodie needs! ❤️ ~ Deranie H

Today I went to visit a Jamaican focused market in Canoga Park because I like most Angelenos love food and Jamaican food has a special place in my heart. I’ve had food from venues, restaurants, and private chefs so I have some context as to what it should taste like. I ordered the Large Jerk chicken dinner plate with my choice of rice and peas, steamed cabbage and plantain. The jerk chicken was cut into pieces which I appreciated, it was so flavorful and had the right amount of spice. I can tell it wasn’t made in a pan in an oven because I could taste char from the grill like it’s supposed to be! The rice and peas were fluffy yet dense with richness, the steamed cabbage was enriched with mixed veggies so it was a very healthy and delicious addition. But between my baby and I the plantain stole both our hearts. It’s such a pleasure to have dined and the vibes of the staff were energetic and helpful with ordering because it was my first time visiting. I also got some key essentials for the cupboards like seasonings. Thank you for everything! ~ Jessica B

The most authentic Caribbean grocers’s with a restaurant smacked right inside I love this place! It felt like I was back in the islands. You won’t be able to find better Jamaican dishes anywhere else in the state I kid you not. I had the oxtail and a stuffed roast snapper fish omg soooo good 20 outta 10! I will be back! The staff was very helpful and pleasant also the owner served my meal she’s such a gem. The ambiance felt like home just a great place overall. ~ Jody

So excited to finally find a Caribbean marketplace that truly has it all authentic spices, fresh produce, and halal products all in one place. Their Jamaican restaurant is a 10/10, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and the space is clean and well organized. Amazing Jamaican grocery & food in the Valley! Dimart is just amazing! It’s so nice to finally have Jamaican products and groceries as an option here in the Valley. This place has it all, plus great customer service. The food is phenomenal too, especially the oxtail and fried chicken. The oxtail here was absolutely amazing! The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. The seasoning was perfect. You can really taste the care that went into preparing this dish.
